Best Cellars licensed location on New York's Upper West Side opened its doors to the happy wine-drinking public on November 11, 2006. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Upper West Side, the store attracts shoppers ambling down Broadway, gourmands picking up victuals from world-famous Zabar's across the street, picnickers heading for Central Park, as well as the thousands of NYC folk looking to exercise their palates.
At BC-UWS we offer free nightly tastings from 5pm - 8pm every Monday through Friday, and from 3pm - 6pm on the weekend. Each night these tastings center on a theme, making the experience both fun and informational. Examples from the past include Que Syrah Syrah, Vin-Vino-Vinho, Viva Italia, and Pinot Envy to name a few.
We are also dedicated to expanding our tasters' wine knowledge on a higher level by offering seminars and classes as part of Best Cellars University. Look for our schedule of BCU events, including our popular Tasty Tuesdays program, special one-time events like The French Paradox, and wine holidays like Beaujolais Nouveau.
